Great place, phenomenal food. Recommend 100%. Definitely give this place a chance and you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Another weekday solo lunch. Wife and I are both at work, so we don't have time to meet up for lunch. Time for me to go for fried seafood without veggies getting in the way! I went to my favorite place for fried wings, but this time I changed it up a bit to try their Fried Catfish. The fries are solidly crispy on the outside and fluffy and tasty on the inside. The Mac an Cheese is warm and tasty, but I prefer a drier mac and cheese, not the saucy style they serve here. Next time, I'll go for fried rice or coleslaw as a side. Staff is always friendly and the restaurant is clean and inviting. Other items I've had that are good are the fried shrimp and whiting. One day, I'll have to try breakfast here. A simple yet great breakfast or lunch diner adjacent to an industrial park. I usually get the 3-piece fish sampler (trout, catfish, tilapia) with fries and hush puppies. Small dining room with friendly service. I could eat there at least once a week.
It's an underrated hidden gem. It's a local neighborhood, hole in the wall. The interior is nothing special. But the folks at the front desk makes you feel warm. Food wise, everything we've ordered we liked and you definitely get your money's worth. Would recommend checking out.
Still my number one spot for seafood, always a welcome smile. The catfish and the whiting is cook to perfection and forget the potato salad, you can't go wrong with this place. And they portion side fits the price. Great service.
The fried shrimp here makes me experience what I imagine heaven to be like from the comfort of the earthly, mortal realm. It's a tiny little store tucked in a corner, with a plain sign and seemingly no real advertisement, as all the best small business food places are. It's a deli counter, and I've seen the people taking orders deal with horrific customers with nothing but a smile and gentle patience. Somehow, this makes hangry customers cool off a little. I admire their skill, and hope to emulate that kind of strength of will in my own life. I will NEVER stop talking about this place to everyone I know, along with random people on the street, and Facebook friends I haven't spoken to in years. 100000/10.
came here on a whim with my mom & bebs! was not very busy when I arrived & ordered, but after, at least 4 more people came by to order. ordered a catfish sandwich for my mom & a fish sampler with mashed potatoes & gravy and mac & cheese for myself. the wait was about 20 minutes, but man, did it feel long because there's no air in this shop! they could've turned on the ceiling fans or AC as it was 100 degrees outside, but it was only barely cooler in there than outside. the food was good! the catfish was well seasoned, but not as good as the catfish at Johnny Ray's Sultry Soul Food in my opinion. the fish in my sampler had a lot of bones, so just be careful. the sandwich wasn't bad, but my mom wasn't very impressed. I pulled some fish meat for my baby & mixed it in with the mac & cheese which he seemed to love! it's in a small shopping center & the guy at the front has a very loud voice. it's such a great little find in a small, hidden area.
I had some really good chicken wings and fried from here. Everything was made fresh to order! I read the reviews before ordering and I could see what folks were talking about. The wings were huge. 3 wings feels like 6 wings.
